Dr. John Storring, B.S.c. Hon (Acadia), MD, CM (McGill) was trained in hematology at McGill Univeristy. After this he completed a fellowship in Acute Leukemia and Cellular Therapy at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. Dr. Storring is currently a member of the McGill University Health Centre’s Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology. His major focus of interest is in the use of novel agents for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. Since his arrival he has begun a dedicated clinic in MDS and AML at the Royal Victoria Hospital and is the principle investigator for several clinical trials in acute leukemia and myelodysplasia with a focus of development of novel compounds that may have enhanced efficacy coupled with a favourable toxicity profile.
